The Stranger has been fucking James up for a while, but after this date (23/12/15) James went missing completely. Literally fucked off out of existence, but he's still alive? Since he wouldn't leave anything alone, another theory has stemmed: what if The Stranger takes James and he joins the Callous Heart with Mary/Madeline? This could be an explanation as to why no one has found him yet. He's had to reinvent himself so that no one will realise he's stopped ageing, so now he'll look completely different. Looking for this version of James Scythe won't be successful because he doesn't exist anymore, much like Mary not looking anything like Madeline.
This can explain why the album is called "Eternity, In Your Arms" because James and Madeline are together with their immortality.
